I used to be something big
A lover and fighter and lighter to your cigarette
and then one day the clock that I counted so much on
it stopped

I used to be loved
I used to be good
And everything a little girl should
And then one day the rain I loved so much
it stopped

These colors in my eyes
They promise my demise
And the empty threats
they've become too much to bear

And as you sit shredding papers
and listening to the wind it tapers
You musn't take the time
to forget

I used to be something large
Now I'm just a dimming star
that will end up
giving in to itself

And the black hole inside my heart
has taken into tearing you apart
and I told myself
no you can't forget

These colors that I've seen
they break these two lonely wings
and the chains that I've longed for
they fell

The loosening noose has brought me
rest assured, with many pleas
a memory that I will soon

Empty threats and ticking clocks
have brought me here into this box
of contempt and hatred to soon forget

But I've told myself
I can't forget.
and neither can you.

so this is just a bit of poetry I found buried in my documents folder. :/
